A QS position of 253 puts Taylor’s well ahead of most private peers and inside the global top 300 overall. But rankings measure reputation and research output across the whole university; they do not tell you whether a specific programme fits your budget or course goals. Treat them as one input, not the decision.

03

What to budget overall.

Tuition is the biggest piece, not the only piece: add EMGS visa items (roughly RM 2,700 to 3,300 in the first year, including the 8% tax on EMGS processing and eVAL fees) and living costs. Monash University Malaysia’s published campus-area estimates put student living at RM 18,000 to 30,000 a year - Taylor’s lakeside campus area has its own housing market, so use Taylor’s own accommodation guidance when budgeting.

04

Who it suits.

Students who want Malaysia’s strongest private-university name and are comfortable paying the premium that comes with it - Taylor’s business degree costs about 24% more in listed tuition than APU’s three-year computing degree (RM 108,500), for a different course at a differently positioned university.
